Filip began his rowing career in 2000 at the Partizan Rowing Club of Belgrade, Republic of Serbia. While with Partizan, he earned National championship titles in 2002 through 2005, and was a member of the Serbian National Team from 2004 to 2007.
In 2009, Filip began his studies at Drexel University, from which he now holds dual degrees in business & engineering. While at Drexel, Filip was a 4-year member of the varsity eight that won multiple gold medals at Murphy Cup, Knecht Cup, Kerr Cup, and Bergen Cup.
In addition to his rowing success, Filip coached the Drexel Men’s Varsity 2- to gold gold at Dad Vails in 2013, and helped earn the Overall Team Points Trophy and Men’s Points Trophy for the first time in the school’s history. Filip has also served as an assistant coach at Partizan for the past two years.
